Tek taraflı dudak yarıklı bebeklerde cerrahi öncesi maksiler ortopedi yaklaşık elli yıldır uygulanan bir tekniktir. Fakat bu geleneksel yöntemlerde burun bölgesinde var olan anomaliler göz ardı edilip daha çok alveol kavislerin düzeltilmesine yönelik girişimler yapılmıştır. Bu derlemenin amacı ise alveol ve burun bölgesinde şekillendirme yapmaya olanak sağlayan yeni bir yöntemi tanıtmaktır.

Presurgical infant orthopaedics in unilateral cleft lip and palate patients (Part 1)

Presurgical infant orthopaedics has been employed for the last fifty years. Traditional approaches failed to address the deformity of the nasal tissues and focus only to correct the alveolar deformities. In this review, our aim is to describe a new technique which is used to mold nasal cartilages with alveolar segments.
