Tekrarlayan salmonella subgrup 1 septisemisi: Vaka sunumu
Recurrent salmonella subgrup 1 septicemia: Case report
Although most Salmonella infections are limited to the gastrointestinal tract, invasion of bloodstream and focal complications can ocur. Central nervous system infections are rare compliciations of Salmonella infection. We present a case of two month girl who was infected with salmonella after contact with household index and despite having adequate treatment she developed subdural effusion and brain abcess. The importance of household transmission and antibiotic resistance in salmonella infections is emphasized.
