Her toplumda olduğu gibi bizde de hiç şüphesiz sanatın ve sanat eğitiminin önemli bir yeri vardır. Bireyin yaşantısına bakıldığında sanatın onun hayatına canlılık kazandırdığı, ayrı bir hassasiyet verdiği, kim olduğunu ve neye inandığını sorgulamaya teşvik ettiği, kendisine ve içinde yaşadığı topluma karşı daha bilinçli ve daha duyarlı olmasına yardımcı olduğu görülmektedir. Sanatın, bireyin toplumsallaşmasında, insanın ruhsal gereksinimleri karşılamada, kendine güvenen bireyler yetişmesinde rolü büyüktür. Bu rolde sanat eğitimine büyük pay düşmektedir. Sanat eğitimi, toplumsallaşma sürecindeki birey için, içinde yaşadığı dünyayı kavramada, karşılaştığı problemlere karşı çözüm yolları bulmada, gördüğü, hissettiği şeylere karşı tepkilerde bulunmada önemli bir rol üstlenir ve sanat eğitimi bir bütünlük içerisinde düşünüldüğünde birey ve toplum için can damarı durumundadır. Çünkü genel eğitimin hem bilişsel, hem duyuşsal hem de psiko-motor alandaki hedeflerine hizmet etmektedir. Böylece bireyin estetik, fiziksel, zekâ, toplumsal gelişimlerine katkıda bulunmakta ve yaşamın bütünselliği içerisinde sanat yoluyla eğitimini sağlamaktadır. Bu araştırmada sanatın ve sanat eğitiminin bireyin toplumsallaşma sürecindeki olumlu etkileri incelenmektedir.

Art and art education has an important place in our society like other societies. Analysing the life of an individual, it is seen that the art brings in his life colour, it gives a different sensibility, it encourages him to question who he is and what he believes in; it helps him to be more aware and more sensitive both to himself and to the society he lives in. Art has a significant role in socializing the individual, to meet the mental needs of the human-being and raising self-confident individuals. In this role, art education has a great role. Art education has an important role for the individual to comprehend the world he is living in, to find solutions for the problems he faces and to react to the incidents he sees and feels; considering the art education as a whole, it is a vital point. Because it serves to the targets in cognitive, sensory and psychomotor fields of the education. So, it contributes to the aesthetics, physical, intelligence and social developments of the individual and thus it ensures his education via the art within the life itself. Positive effects of the art and art education in the socializing process of the individual is analysed in this stduy.
