DoğuanadoluBölgesinde doğalyayı1ış alanlarını saptamak ve kültüre alarak üretmek, üretilen fidanlarınPeyzaj tesislerinde kullanılma olanaklanm 'tesbit etmek amacıile yapılımştır.Onüç yıllık sürvey ve gözlem çalışmalarında elde edilen bulgularaşağıdaki şekilde sonuçlandınımıştır.ı. Doğuanadolu ve Doğukaradeniz bölgesinde Betula verrucosaEhrh. Betula pubescens Ehrh. ve Betula medwediewii Regel olmak üzere'yalnız üç huş türü doğal olarak yetişmektedir.2. Betula pubescens Ehrh. ve Betula medwediewii Regel yalnızKuzeydoğu Karadeniz yöresinde] 500-3000 m. yüksekliklerde çok ,darvesımrh; Betula vermcosa Ehrh. ise Dağuanadolu bölgesinde aynıyüksekliklerde çok geniş bir doğal yayılış alanına sahiptir.3. Tüylü huş ve kızılağaç yapraklı huşların tohumları temin edilemediğindenErzurumda yalnız beyaz huş üretmeye alınımş ve fidanüretimi çok başarılı olmuştur.4. SoğukIara mukavim, kuraklığa hassas olan beyaz huş Doğuanadolu bölgesinin en güzel ve dekoratif ağacını teşkil eder.5.
