Thousands of Turkish soldiers were taken as slave by Russians in the wars of Caucasian front in the World War I. Except for military slaves, both a number of Turkish citizens living in Russia at that time, and those living in the regions invased by the Russia were taken as slave by Russia and were taken to several slave camps in Russia. The general Outlook of the Turkish slaves in Russia were very bad. The difficulties they suffered from had commenced during their transportation to Russia, and had experienced much more difficulties where they were taken. In this study, the contributions made by Azerbaijan Turks and the Turks living under the aouthority of Russia to the Turkish military and civil slaves had been taken on Aid committees founded with this purpose, aid campaigns held for this this purpose, aid activities carried out individually or by committees, or activities by Azerbaijan administration has made up the content of the subject.
