T.Öz Yok

Undoubtedly being one of the leading orientalist in Germany, Gotthard Jaeschke has always had a great respect and appreciation in Turkey because of his invaluable studies on Turkey and Turkish People. His works are mainly based on the reformation process of Turkish State and people under Atatürk's administration. He wrote numerous works from books to articles between 1917-1983 about Turkish History, most of which particularly provide important materials for the recent Turkish History. He was very delighted and honoured to meet Atatürk in person in Turkish Grand National Asembly in 1929, and he expressed his sense of admiration and friendship.
