Etomidat enjeksiyon ağrısının giderilmesinde fentanil ile lidokainin karşılaştırılması
Bu çalışmada lidokain ve farklı dozlardaki fentanilin etomidata bağlı enjeksiyon ağrısını önlemedeki etkileri incelendi. Kardiyak cerrahi yapılacak ASA II-III grubundan 200 olgu rastgele 4 gruba ayrıldı; etomidat enjeksiyonundan önce Grup l olgulara 1.5 $mu$g kg-1 f entanil, Grup ll'ye 3 $mu$g kg-1 fentanil, Grup III 'e 40 mg lidokain ve Grup IV olgulara serum fizyolojik (plasebo) verildi. Etomidat enjeksiyonuna bağlı ağrı insidansı plasebo grubunda %72 idi. Grup II ve Grup III'de enjeksiyon ağrısı Grup I ve Grup IVden anlamlı derecede düşüktü (p
A comparison of the efficacy of fentanyl and lidokain in resolving the injection pain of etomidate
In this study, we comperatively evaluated the effects of lidocaine and different doses of fentanyl in order to prevent injection pain due to etomidate. Two hundred ASA II-III cardiac surgery patients were randomly allocated to one of four groups; Group I received fentanyl 1.5 $mu$g kg-1, Group II received fentanyl 3 $mu$g kg-1, Group III received lidocaine 40 mg and Group IV received placebo (normal saline) prior to etomidate. The incidence of pain in the placebo group was 72%. Group II and Group III had a significantly lower incidence of injection pain than Group I and Group IV (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of pain between group receiving fentanyl (3 $mu$g kg-1) or lidocaine. It was concluded that, fentanyl pretreatment significantly decreased the incidence of pain on injection, but pain is prevented when the dose 3 $mu$g kg-1 fentanyl is used for pretreatment such as lidocaine.
