Epidural kateterden hatalı ilaç uygulaması (Üç olgu nedeniyle)

Epidural analjezi postoperatif dönemde yaygın olarak kullanılan bir analjezi yöntemidir. Epidural yoldan hatalı ilaç uygulaması olabilecek riskli komplikasyonlardan biridir. Bu makalede, postoperatif dönemde analjezi amacıyla verilmek üzere hazırlanan 4mg morfin enjeksiyonlarının yanlışlıkla 8 ml % 7.5 luk potasyum klorür ile dilüe edilerek enjekte edilen iki olgu ve bulantısı nedeniyle epiduralden trimetobenzamid enjekte edilen bir olgu olmak üzere, epidural yoldan yanlış ilaç enjekte edilen toplam üç olgu sunulmuştur. Olguların hiçbirinde ağrı dışında herhangi bir komplikasyon gelişmemiştir.

Inadvertent epidural drug administration (Three cases reports)

Epidural analgesia has become popular and established method of pain relief for surgical operations, postoperative analgesia. The risk of accidental injections of substances other than the intended drug is always present when conduction anaesthesia is performed. We present two patients whom 7.5 % potassium chloride mixed with morphine were injected for pain relief after postoperative period and one patient in whom trimethobenzamide was injected epidurally. Severe pain occurred suddenly and the injections have been stopped immediately. Fortunately no symptoms has been occurred except pain.
