İzmir/Bornova ilköğretim ikinci kademe devlet okullarındaki ergenlerde yaşm kalitesi

Amaç: llköğretim ikinci kademede eğitim gören ergenlerde yaşam kalitesi düzeylerinin ve belirleyicilerinin saptanması. Yöntem: Araştırma kesitsel tipte bir çalışmadır. Araştırma İzmir ili Bornova ilçe merkezindeki ilköğretim okullarının7., 8. sınıflarında yapıldı (s=17545). Araştırma verileri Nisan-Haziran 2009da toplandı. Örneklem büyüklüğü desen etkisi 2 alınarak, %50 yaygınlık, %95 güven aralığında, örneklem hatası 0.05 kabul edilerek 736 olarak hesaplandı. Çalışmada dört form kullanıldı: Kiddo-Kindl, DSÖ HBSC 2001/02 Anket Formu, Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Kısa Formu, Sosyodemografik Anket Formu. Araştırmanın verileri SPSS 10.0 bilgisayar istatistik paket progra- mında değerlendirildi. Verilerin analizinde, Student t testi, Mann Whitney-U testi, One-Way ANOVA, lojistik regresyon modeli. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %48i aile ile sosyal ilişkilerini, %36.3ü aile-okul ilişkilerini, %34.7si öğretmen tutumu- nu, %42.6sı anne tutumunu ve %40.9u baba tutumunu ortalama puanın altında olarak algılamaktadır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda gençlerin yaşam kalitelerinin sosyoekonomik düzey, aile ile sosyal ilişkiler, aile- okul ilişkisi, algılanan öğretmen tutumu, okula tutum ve sağlık davranışlarından etkilendiği belirlenmiştir. Tartışma: Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, ergenlerde sağlığı geliştirmeye yönelik çalışmalar, olumlu anne-baba tutumu ve olumlu okul yaşamının sağlanmasına yönelik çalışmalarla ergenlerin yaşam kalitelerinin artırılması gereklidir.

The quality of life in adolescent in secondary public schools in Bornova/İzmir

Objective: To measure the quality of life in adolescents and to indicate determinates of quality of life in Bor- nova/Turkey. Methods: The study design is cross sectional. It is performed at the secondary school grade 6, 7, 8 in Bornova/Turkey (n=17545). The data collected between April and June 2009. The sample size is 736 by the design effect 2, prevalence 50 %, confidence interval 95 %, standard error 5%. Three forms were used for data collection: the Adolescent Version of KINDL-R (Kiddo-Kindl), WHO Health Behaviour in School-aged Children's (HBSC) Question- naire and a questionnaire for sociodemographic characteristics. The data were assessed by SPSS 10.0 and student t test, Mann Whitney-U test, One-Way ANOVA, logistic regression were used to analyze. Results: Forty-eight percent of students had the social relations score under the average score of the group, 36.3% had family-school relationships score under the average score of the group, 34.7% had teacher attitude score under the average score of the group, 42.6% had mothers attitude score under the average score of the group and 40.9% of students had fathers attitude score below the average attitude score. According to the findigs of this study of the adolescent is determined by the quality of life of young people's socioeconomic level, family and social relationships, family-school relationships, the perceived attitudes of teachers, school attitudes and health behavior. Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, efforts consisting of improving positive parents attitude, positive school life and adolescents health behavior should make to promote the QOL in adolescents.
