Amaç: Donuk omuzda iki farkl› egzersiz program›n›n a¤r›, eklem hareket aç›kl›¤› ve fonksiyonel durum üzerine etkisinin karfl›laflt›r›lmas› amaçland›. Çal›flma plan›: Çal›flmaya donuk omuz tan›s› konan 22 kad›n ve 7 erkek hasta [ortalama yafl 52.1 (da¤›l›m 38-65)] al›nd›. Hastalar rastgele grup I ve II olarak iki gruba ayr›ld›. Grup I’e 14, grup II’ye 15 hasta dahil edildi. Tüm hastalar 6 hafta (30 seans) hastanede fizyoterapist gözetiminde tedaviye al›nd›. Her iki gruba da fizik tedavi modalitelerinden trans-kutanöz elektrik stimulasyon ve buz uy- guland›, nonsteroid antiinflamatuvar ilaçlar ile desteklendi ve glenohumeral eklem hareket aç›kl›¤› (EHA) egzersizleri verildi. Grup II’ye grup I’den farkl› olarak skapulatorasik egzersizler verildi. Fonksiyonel durum modifiye Constant skoru, a¤r› görsel analog skala (GAS) ile de¤erlendirildi ve EHA gonyometre ile ölçüldü. De¤erlendirmeler tedaviden önce, 6. ve 12. haftada yap›ld›. Sonuçlar: Her iki grupta da Constant skoru, GAS ve EHA de¤erlendirme sonuçlar›nda 6. ve 12. hafta sonunda istatistiksel olarak anlaml› iyileflmeler elde edildi.
