A diabetes mellitus is socially a meaningful disease not only in our country but also in the whole world.In this connection, development and practical ground of sugar reducingmedicinal facilities are the issue of the day.To today medical plants are known, such as: chicory, topinambour, stevia,capers. In this article were considered the history of sugar-reducing medicinal plants, biological and pharmacological properties and application in medicine.
