PECULIARITIES OF HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CASE STUDY METHOD

The present article considers the history of the formation of case studies as innovative educational technology and method of social research. The paper also analyzes the main directions of the development of case studies at the present stage. The case study method is considered as an integral system of methods, techniques and design tools. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of educational professionally oriented situations and the professional activities of students. Nowadays the most interesting question is the effectiveness of any process taking place in an organization. The case is presented as a task of a creative level, generating new meanings and goals for the student’s professional development.
