Bu araştırmada Ankara Etlik Hayvan Hastalıkları Araştırma Enstitüsün'den temin edilen 10 adet Yeni Zellanda Tavşanı kullanıldı. Materyallerin araştırılmasında latex ve arleriographi'den faydalanıldı. A. iliaca externa, a. iliaca intenıa ile birlikte A.iliaca communis'ten çıkar. A. gemi suprema, a. femoralis'ten diz ekleminin hemen proximalinden cranial olarak çıkar. A. circumflexa ilium profunda, a.iliaca exlerna'nin caudalinden çıkar. A.iliolumbalis, a. iliaca communis'ten ayrılır, a.iliolumbalis, iliac ve lumbal diye iki dala ayrılarak sonlanır.

Ten New Zelland Rabbits were used. Latex was injected trough the abdominal aortae , and the following was determinated. The common iliac arteries, terminal branches of the aorta, separate just below the inferior mesenteric, run laterally along the boundary between the psoas and the ventral caudal muscle, and divide into external iliac and hypogastric arteries. The external iliac artery, is the continution of the common iliac beyond the hypogastric trunc. The femoral arter)' is the continution of the common iliac down the medial side of the thigh. It passes between adductor brevis and caudofemoralis to the popliteal fossa where it is know the popliteal artery. The anterior tibial artery runs the deep to the popliteus muscle and between the tibia and fibula close to their articulation. The genicular suprema artery, arises from the deep surface of the femoral.
