Bu çalışmada bir yüksek dağ gölü olan Balık Gölü ve yakın çevresinde bulunan kuş türleri araştırıldı. Nisan 2001 ile Eylül 2002 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilen arazi çalışmaları sonucunda alanda 31 familyaya ait 83 tür ve 2 alt tür tespit edildi. Gözlenen türlerin %50.5'inin yerli, %42.3'ünün göçmen, %4.7'sinin kış ziyaretçisi ve ve %2.3'ünün de transit göçer olduğu belirlendi. Ayrıca bu araştırmada Balık Gölü'nün Melanitta fusca'nın ürediği bir alan olduğu tespit edildi.

In ihe present study the bird species living around the “Balık Gölü", a high mountain lake, and its surrounding were investigated. During the study period, from April 2001 to September 2002, a total of 83 bird species and 2 subspecies from 31 families were observed in the area and these species were classified as follows: 50.5 % resident, 42.3% migrant, 4.7 % winter visitor and 2.3 % transit migratory species. Besides Balık Gölü is determined as the nesting places of Melanitta fusca.
