Single-port laparoscopic unilateral salpingooopherectomy with Ligasure vessel sealing system using articulating enstruments

In surgery, since the main aim is to lessen trauma to patients, single port access laparoscopic surgeries provide surgeons with a less invasive approach. Since the entire procedure is done with single incision and leaves the patient with a hidden scar, single-port laparoscopic approach can be more attractive for patients. This is why the use of these procedures in abdominal surgery is gradually increasing. Here we report the case of single port laparoscopic unilateral salpingo-oopherectomy with Ligasure sealing vessel system and with articulating instruments. The operation was completed with single port laparoscopically without intraoperative or postoperative complications. The patient was discharged the following morning. With single insicion laparoscopic approaches can offer suitable, effective and safe treatments.
