Effects of Disinfectants on Brucella canis
Effects of Disinfectants on Brucella canis In this study, the effect of various concentration of fıve common disinfectants on Brucella canis RM 6/66 and 1/90 strains was investigated. Two-fold dilutions of phenol, formaline and ethyl alcohol were killed bacteria within one min. Free iodine in iodophore group up to 10 ppm and 2.5 ppm had no effect on B.canis within one min. and 60 min., respedively. Benzalkonium chloride qııerterner ammonium compound in 1/200000 consantration was effective against B. canis strains within 30 min, but not in shorter periods
