Dik Yön Boyutları Yüksek Olan Genç Hastada Hızlı Üst Çene Genişletmesi
Maksiller genişletme yüzyıllardan beri
farklı tekniklerle uygulanmaktadır ve
maloklüzyonların tedavisinde ortodontik veya
ortopedik amaçlı kullanılmıştır. Bu vaka
raporunda maksillasında şiddetli darlık
bulunan hastada Akrilik Bonded Hyrax
apareyi ile hızlı üst çene genişletmesi
uygulamasının tedavi öncesi-sonrası, tedavi
süreci ve dentofasiyal büyüme süreci boyunca
meydana getirdiği değişiklikler
değerlendirilmiştir. Vertikal büyüme paterni
yüksek olan hastada dik yönün kontrolü
bonded hızlı maksiller genişletme aygıtı ile
sağlanmış, midpalatal sutur maturasyonunun
henüz tamamlanmamış olması nedeniyle
ortopedik tedavide ve retansiyon fazında
maksiller yetersizliğin giderilmesi, bununla
birlikte yer darlığının çözülmesi, bukkal
koridorların eliminasyonu gibi hem estetik
hem fonksiyonel olarak olumlu sonuçlar elde
edilmiştir.
Rapid Palatal Expansion in Young Patient with High Angle
Maxillary expansion has been
practiced with different techniques for
centuries and has been used for orthodontic or
orthopedic treatment in the treatment of
malocclusions. In this case report, changes in
the pre-treatment, post-treatment, and
dentofacial growth processes of rapid
maxillary expansion were evaluated with
Acrylic Bonded Hyrax appliance for the
patient with severe deficiency in the maxilla.
In the patient with a high vertical growth
pattern, control of the vertical direction was
provided with bonded rapid maxillary
expansion, and due to the incomplete
midpalatal suture maturation, maxillary
stenosis was eliminated in orthopedic
treatment and in the retention phase, as well as
solving the space problem, and eliminating the
buccal corridors, both aesthetically and
functionally.
