Buzağı enzootik pneumonisi'nin tedavisinde enrofloxacin ile enrofloxacin+flunixin meglumine kombinasyonunun etkilerinin karşılaştırılması

Bu araştırmada enzootik pneumoni belirtileri (ateş, taşipne, öksürük ...) gösteren 40 buzağıda (3-6 aylık) enrofloksasin ile enrofloksasin+fluniksin meglumin kombinasyonunun etkilerinin karşılaştırılması amaçlandı. Tedavi aşamasında iki farklı grup oluşturuldu; I.grupta (n=20) enrofloksasin (5mg/kg, i.m.,1x1, 5gün), 11.grupta (n=20) bu tedavi ile birlikte fluniksin meglumin (2.2mg/kg, i.V., tek doz) kullanıldı. The comparison of the effects of enrofloxacin and enrofloxacin+flunixin meglumine combination in the treatment of enzootic calf pneumonia

It was aimed to compare the effects of enrofloxacin and enrofloxacin+flunixin meglumine combination in 40 calves (3-6 months) exhibiting signs (fever, tachypnea, coughing...) of enzootic pneumonia in this study. At the treatment stage, two different groups were designed: enrofloxacin (5mg/kg, i.m., 1x1, 5 days) in 1th group (n=20) and flunixin meglumine (2.2mg/kg, i. v., once) in IInd group (n=20) in addition to Ist group's therapy were used. Clinical and hematological examinations were repeated in the 1st, 2nd, 3th, 5th and 7th days of this study. It was observed that temperature reduced from 3rd day in group I and 2nd day in group II (p<0.001); heart and respiratory rates of group II were less than those of group I. It was determined that WBC count increased in each group; neutrophil rate decreased from 2nd day in group II during treatment, but within normal limits. After 5 days treatment, administration of enrofloxacin was maintained for 2 days to 13 calves in group I and 4 calves in group II which were observed to be uncompletely recovered. As a result, in this study, it was concluded that the combination of enrofloxacin and single dose flunixin meglumine might be effectively used, and also duration of therapy could be shortened in the treatment of enzootic calf pneumonia.
