SAVAŞ ALANLARI TURİZMİ: BİRLEŞİK KRALLIK SAVAŞ ALANLARI KAYNAK MERKEZİ ÖRNEĞİ VE KURTULUŞ SAVAŞI ALANLARININ TURİZM POTANSİYELİ

Bu araştırmada tarih boyunca var olan fakat akademi dünyasında yeni ele alınmayabaşlanan savaş alanları turizmi araştırılmıştır. Türkiye’de yer alan savaş alanlarınayönelik turizm potansiyeli de göz önünde bulundurularak bu turizm türüne yönelikİngiltere’de yer alan “Battlefield Trust” örgütü ve bu örgütün savaş alanları merkezikendine has benzersiz özellikleri nedeniyle örnek olay araştırması ile detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Örgütten ve web sitesinden elde edilen belgeler ve bilgiler içerikanalizi yöntemiyle araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca Türkiye’nin yakın tarihinde yaşanmış Kurtuluş Savaşının geçtiği belli başlı savaş alanlarının listesi çıkarılmış ve bu alanlara yönelik potansiyel turizm talebine ilişkin çeşitli öneriler getirilmiştir. Araştırmakonusu olan Battlefield Trust örgütü tescilli savaş alanları ile ilgili bilgi bütünününoluşturulmasını İngiltere’de sağlamışken Türkiye’de benzer bir sivil toplum kuruluşunun eksikliği vurgulanmış ve hangi tür savaş alanı bilgilerinin bu turizm türü içinenvanter olarak kaydının yapılması ve belge haline getirilmesi gereği tartışılmıştır.Bu örneğe benzer bir düşünce yapısıyla mekânlar saptanmalı, konuyla ilgili görselve basılı dokümantasyon pazarlamada kullanılacak nitelikte zenginleştirilmelidir.

BATTLEFIELD TOURISM: THE CASE OF UK BATTLEFIELD RESOURCE CENTER AND THE POTENTIAL OF TOURISM OF INDEPENDENCE WAR

In this research, the battlefields that existed throughout history but which have begun to be discussed recently in the academic world have been explored. The Battlefield Trust organization in Great Britain, which is based on such kind of tourism strategy, and its battlefield centers have been studied in detail through a case study due to their unique features, taking into account the historical battles in the history of Turkey and the potential of tourism for the related battlefields. The information and documents obtained from the organization and the battlefield center web site were investigated by content analysis method. In addition, a list of the major battlefields of the Independence War that took place in the recent history of Turkey has primarily been prepared and some suggestions have been put forward about the potential tourism demand for these areas.
