Kınık (Gördes) çevresindeki erken Miyosen yaşlı linyitli çökellerin küçük memeli biyokronolojisi: Ön sonuçlar
Kınık çevresindeki Neojen istifi, fluviyal taban çakıltaşı, gölsel Küçükderbent Formasyonu ve Sıdan Formasyonu kapsamındaki volkanitlerden oluşur. Küçükderbent Formasyonu'nun tabanındaki linyit horizonunda bulunan Kınık küçük memeli fosilleri Erken Miyosen yaşlıdır ve MN2 ve/ya da MN3 memeli zonunu temsil eder.
Small mammal biochronology of the early Miocene lignitifeous sediments around Kınık (Gördes). preliminary results
The Neogene sequence around Kınık consists, from base to top, of a fluviatile basal conglomerate unit, the lacustrine Küçükderbent Formation and the volcanic rocks of the Sıdan Formation. The small mammals collected from the lignite horizon at the bottom of the Küçükderbent Formation suggest an Early Miocene age and correlation to the MN2 and/ or MN3 mammal zones.
