YAZ KUR’AN KURSLARININ DİN EĞİTİMİ AÇISINDAN FONKSİYONELLİĞİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Bu araştırma, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı tarafından uzun yıllardan beri ülkemizde yaz aylarında cami ve Kur'an kurslarında verilen Yaz Kur'an Kurslarının mevcut durumu ve karşılaşılan problemleri tespit edip, Yaz Kur'an kurslarının Din Eğitimi açısından nasıl bir öneminin olduğu vurgulamaya çalışılan bir alan araştırmasıdır. Araştırmaya Muğla merkez ve dört ilçesinde Yaz Kur'an Kursuna devam eden 309 öğrenci ve Yaz Kur'an Kurslarında görev yapan 104 din görevlisi katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket tekniği kullanılmış, bunun yanı sıra gözlem, yüz yüze görüşme/mülakat tekniklerinden de faydalanılmıştır. Öncelikle Yaz Kur'an Kurslarına katılan öğrencilerin kişisel bilgi ve sosyo-ekonomik durumları, öğrenci ve din görevlilerinin kurs hakkındaki görüşleri verilmiş, elde edilen bulgularla Yaz Kur'an Kursları değişik yönleriyle değerlendirilmeye alınmıştır. Buna göre Yaz Kur'an Kurslarının din eğitimi alanındaki önemli bir boşluğu doldurduğu bir gerçektir. Yaz Kur'an Kursları örgün eğitim sürecinde bulunan gençlerin dinin temel bilgilerini öğrendikleri önemli eğitim-öğretim merkezleridir. Yine bu kurslar, gençlerin hayatlarını anlamlandırma süreçlerinde karşılaştıkları sorunların çözümünde kendilerine destek sağlayacak bilişsel, duyuşsal ve psiko motor (beceri) davranışlar kazanmalarına da önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Yaz Kur'an kurslarında Kur'an okuma ve temel dinî bilgiler eğitimi alan çocukların çoğu, daha sonradan -eğer örgün eğitimde seçmeli ders olarak seçmezlerse- yaygın ve örgün eğitim içinde bir daha Kur'an eğitimi alamadıkları düşünülecek olursa bu, Yaz Kur'an kurslarının ne kadar önemli bir yere sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu sebeple Yaz Kur'an kursları, bundan sonraki hayatlarında yeterli düzeyde din eğitimi alamayacaklar için asgari derecede dinî bilgiler öğrenebilecekleri önemli yerlerden biridir
