Bilgi Toplumu Ekseninde Türkiye ve Bir Karşılaştırma

Bilgi Toplumları bilginin toplandığı, işlendiği ve dağıtıldığı toplumlardır. Dünyadaki gelişmelere bakıldığında ülkeler tarım toplumundan sanayi toplumuna, sonra da bilgi toplumuna doğru bir dönüşüm ve değişim yaşamışlardır. Yaşadığımız çağda bilgi toplumlarının en önemli kriterleri ARGE harcamaları, teknolojiye yapılan yatırımlar ve tüketimidir. Bu göstergeler açısından Türkiye ile bazı ülkeler karşılaştırıldığında Türkiye 'nin bir çok dünya ülkesinin gerisinde kaldığı görülmektedir.

Turkey Towards Information Society and a Comparison

Information societies are societies that information is collected, processed and distributed. When the changes are analyzed in the world, it is seen that countries have experienced a progress from agricultural society to industrial society and from industrial society to information society. In this century, indicators of the information society are R&D expenditures, technological investments and level of technology consumption. When the Turkey has been compared with other countries, in terms of those indicators, Turkey has been far behind the other countries.
