The Relationships between the Types of Leadership and Organizational Culture: An Empirical Study

The relationships between leadership and organizational culture have gained considerable interest from the fields of organizational culture and leadership. In the literature, it is suggested that leaders play a crucial role in creating and maintaining particular types of culture. On the other hand, the literature on leadership argues that the ability to understand and work within a culture is a prerequisite to the success of leadership. Thus, in this paper, the relationship between leadership and organizational culture is investigated by conducting an empirical research. The research data was gathered by using the questionnaire and analysed with the SPSS programme. In the paper, a brief review of the literature on leadership and organizational culture is presented, and then, the methodology adopted for the empirical study and the findings and analysis of responses to the questionnaires are discussed. The paper also highlights the conclusions and implications of the study in the final part. The findings showed that there are statistically significant relationship between different types of leadership and organizational culture.
