TÜRKİYE’DE GELİŞMEKTE OLAN BİR UYGULAMA ALANI: HALK SAĞLIĞI SOSYAL HİZMETİ
Halk sağlığı sosyal hizmeti (HSSH), sosyal hizmetin temel bilgi, beceri ve değerlerinin, halk sağlığı uygulama alanınayansıtılmasıdır. Birinci basamakta önleme ve müdahaleye vurgu yapan, tüm nüfus gruplarının sosyal işlevselliklerine vesağlık durumlarına etki eden sosyal problemleri tanımlayan ve bunlara müdahale eden epidemiyolojik bir yaklaşımdır.Gelişmiş ülkelerde halk sağlığı uygulamaları 1930’lu yıllara kadar gitmektedir, ancak Türkiye’de henüz gelişmeaşamasındadır. Bu makalede, bilgi eksikliğinden yola çıkarak, HSSH ile ilgili kapsamlı bir literatür incelemesi derlenmiştir.HSSH’ye ilişkin geniş bir kavramsal çerçeveye yer verilmiştir. HSSH'nin son yıllarda neden büyüme gösterdiği tartışılmış,Türkiye’de gelişmesini sağlayan faktörler ayrıntılı olarak ele alınmıştır.
A DEVELOPING PRACTICE FIELD IN TURKEY: PUBLIC HEALTH SOCIAL WORK
Public health social service (PHSW) is the reflection of basic knowledge, skills and values of social work into the field of public health practice. It is an epidemiological approach that emphasizes prevention and intervention in the first step and identifies and intervenes in social problems affecting the social functioning and health status of all population groups. PHSW practice in the developed countries goes back to 1930s, but is still under development in Turkey. In this article, a comprehensive review of the literature on PHSW was drawn up, based on the lack of information. A broad conceptual framework for PHSW is given. It is argued why PHSW has grown in recent years. The factors for the development PHSW in Turkey were discussed in detail.
