İnsan vücudu ile çevre arasında fizyolojik, psikolojik ve fiziksel uyumun memnuniyet verici durumda olmasını gösteren konforun, en önemli bileşenlerinden biri termal konfordur. Kumaşın ısı ve nem iletim özellikleri ve insan vücut yüzeyinden çevreye ısı ve nem iletme yeteneği giysinin termal konforunun belirlenmesinde en önemli faktörlerdir. Bu makalede, materyal, üretim teknolojisi ve kumaş yapısı parametrelerinin termal konfora etkileri konusunda ilgili literatür ışığında bilgiler verilmektedir. 

Thermal comfort is one of the important components of comfort which shows the satisfaction level of the physiological, psychological and physical harmony between human body and environment. The heat and moisture transmission properties and also heat and moisture transport ability of fabrics from human body's surface are the most important properties to determine thermal comfort of clothing materials. In this paper, some knowledge is given about the effects of material, production technology and fabric structure on thermal comfort by the help of literature.
