Günümüzde verimlilik özellikle yönetim kademesinde büyük önem kazanmýþtýr çünkü yönetim maliyetlerinin iþe ya da bölüme göre oransýz olarak artarak büyüdüðü görülmektedir. Yönetim giderleri bir iþletmenin içtenlikle minimize etmek istediði ancak ayný zamanda verimliliðe ve iþin daðýtým verimliliði açýsýndan önemli katkýsý kabul edilmiþ giderlerdir. Bu nedenle, sistemin verimliliðini azaltmadan verimlilikte ve maliyet etkinliðinde hangi yönlerde geliþtirmelerin gerçekleþtirilebileceðini bulmak için yönetim iþlemlerinin analiz edilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalýþmada, bir konfeksiyon firmasýnýn yönetim iþlevini yürüten ofis çalýþanlarýna yönelik “Ýþ Örneklemesi” uygulamasý yapýlarak iþin ayrýntýlý olarak analizi ve kayýp zamanlarýnýn tespiti gerçekleþtirilmiþtir. 

Administrative costs seem to escalate disproportionately as a business, or section of it, grows in size. Administrative costs are something which a business would dearly like to minimize, but at the same time recognizes as being important in terms of contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of its business. Nevertheless, there is a need to analyze administrative procedures so as to find ways by which improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness can be achieved without reducing the effectiveness of the system. In this study, “Work Sampling” aimed at office workers is applied and detailed analyze of work and determination of idle time are executed.
