FARKLI BRAKET VE LİGASYON TİPLERİNİN STREPTOCOCCUS MUTANS ADEZYONU ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİNİN İN VİTRO OLARAK İNCELENMESİ

Amaç Bu çalışmanın amacı metal ve seramik kendinden bağlamalı braket sistemleri ile paslanmaz çelik tel ya da elastik ligatür ile bağlanmış klasik braket sistemlerinin Streptococcus mutans adezyonu üzerine etkilerini değerlendirmektir.Gereç ve Yöntem Çalışmamızda 40 adet metal klasik, 40 adet seramik klasik, 20 adet metal kendinden bağlamalı ve 20 adet seramik kendinden bağlamalı premolar braketleri kullanılmıştır. Metal ve seramik braketlerin 20 adeti paslanmaz çelik tel ligatür ile, diğer 20 adeti de elastik ligatür ile bağlanmıştır. S. mutans adezyonu mikrobiyolojik kültür tekniği ile değerlendirilmiştir. IN VITRO EVALUATION OF THE ADHESION OF STREPTOCOCCUS MUTANS TO DIFFERENT BRACKET AND LIGATION TYPES

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of metal and ceramic self-ligating bracket systems and conventional bracket systems ligated with stainless steel wire and elastic ligatures on the adhesion of Streptococcus mutans. Material and Method In our study, 40 metal conventional, 40 ceramic conventional, 20 metal self-ligating and 20 ceramic self-ligating premolar brackets were used. Twenty of metal and ceramic brackets were tied with stainless steel wire ligature and the other 20 are connected with elastic ligature.
