BİR TIP FAKÜLTESİ 4-5-6. SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN HASTA-HEKİM İLİŞKİSİNDE HASTA MERKEZLİLİĞE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARI VE İLİŞKİLİ FAKTÖRLER

AmaçBu araştırmada Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi TıpFakültesi 4-5-6. Sınıf öğrencilerinin hasta-hekim ilişkisindehasta merkezliliğe yönelik tutumlarının ve ilişkilifaktörlerin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve YöntemÖrneklem seçilmeden tüm 4-5-6. sınıf öğrencileri çalışmakapsamına alınmış, 662 öğrenciye (%88,6) ulaşılmıştır.Verilerin toplanmasında Hasta Hekim YönelimÖlçeği (PPOS-TR14) ve Empati Ölçeği (EÖ)’denfaydalanılmıştır. İstatistiksel değerlendirmede tanımlayıcıistatistikler, basit doğrusal regresyon analizi velinear regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır.BulgularAraştırma grubunun yaş ortalaması 22,8±1,6 (en az20, en çok 49) yıl, Empati Ölçeği-Kısa form ortalamapuanı 22,2 (±8,3)’tü. Araştırma grubunun PPOS-TR14bakım alt ölçeği ortalama puanı 25,4 (±5,9), PPOSTR14paylaşım alt ölçeği ortalama puanı 25,2 (±5,7)ve PPOS-TR14 toplam ortalama puanı 50,6 (±7,9)’du.SonuçSahip olunan bazı özelliklerin (cinsiyet, ailenin sosyoekonomikdurumu, sınıf, dini inanç ile ilişki, hekim akrabayasahip olma, uzayan çalışma saatleri, anamnezeayrılan zaman, kendini toplumda ayrıcalıklı görme,EÖ-Kısa form puanı) öğrencilerde hasta merkezliliküzerinde etkili olduğu saptandı. Hasta merkezliliğinsağlık çıktıları üzerindeki olumlu etkileri göz önündebulundurularak, lisans eğitimi süresince hasta merkezliyaklaşımın benimsenmesine engel olan faktörleryapılacak çalışmalar ile sorgulanmaya devam edilmelidir.Tıp Fakültesi yöneticileri ve Tıp Eğitimi AnabilimDalları ile birlikte mezuniyet öncesi eğitimde öğrencileredaha fazla hasta merkezli tutum kazandırılmasıyönünde planlamalar yapılmalıdır.

4-5-6 TH YEAR MEDİCAL STUDENTS' ATTİTUDES TOWARD PATİENT CENTEREDNESS İN DOCTOR-PATİENT RELATİONSHİP AND RELATED FACTORS

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate 4-5-6 th year medical students' attitudes towards patient centeredness in the patient-physician relationship and related factors. Materials and Methods Without sample selection all 4-5-6 th year medical students were included in the study and 662 students (%88,6) were reached. Patient Physician Orientation Scale (PPOS-TR14) and Empathy Scale (EQ) were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, simple linear regression analysis and linear regression analysis were used in statistical evaluation. Results The mean age of the study group was 22.8 ± 1.6 (minimum 20, maximum 49) years, and the mean score of Empathy Scale-Short form was 22.2 (± 8.3). The mean score of PPOS-TR14 care subscale of the research group was 25.4 (± 5.9), mean score of PPOSTR14 sharing subscale was 25.2 (± 5.7) and mean score of PPOS-TR14 was 50.6 (± 7.9), respectively. Conclusions Some characteristics (gender, socioeconomic status of the family, class, relationship with religious belief, having physician relatives, extended working hours, time devoted to anamnesis, privileged self-esteem in society, EÖ-Short form score) were found to be effective on patient centeredness in students. With considering the positive effects of patient-centeredness on health outcomes, factors that prevent the adoption of a patient-centered approach during undergraduate education should continue to be questioned through further studies. Plans should be made in order to give more patient-centered attitude to the students in pre-graduate education together with the managers of the Medical School and the Departments of Medical Education.
