Grup büyüklüğünün bıldırcınlarda besi performansı üzerine etkileri

Bu araştırmada Japon bıldırcınlarında (Coturnix caturnix japonica) grup büyüklüğünün besi performansı üzerine etkileri incelenmiştir. Üç haftalık yastaki toplam 320 adet bıldırcın rasgele olarak hayvan başına düşen yerleşim alanı sabit olmak üzere (150 cm2/hayvan) 4 deneme grubuna, birinci grupta her bir kafes bölmesinde 4 hayvan, ikinci grupta 8 hayvan, üçüncü grupta 12 hayvan ve dördüncü grupta 16 hayvan olacak şekilde dağıtılmıştır. Altıncı hafta sonunda canlı ağırlık (PO.01), yem tüketimi (PO.01) ve yemden yararlanma oranı (P

Effects of the group size on fattening performance in quails

In this research it was investigated effects of the group size on fattening performance in Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica). Three weeks of age totally 320 quails were randomly divided into 4 trial groups with same socking density per bird (150 cm2/bird) for ali groups as follows: 4 birds per cage (1), 8 birds per cage (2), 12 birds per cage (3) and 16 birds per cage (4). At the end of the sixth week it was observed statistically significant differences between groups for live weight (P<0.01), feed consumption (P<0.01) and feed conversion rate (P<0.05). Highest live weights were obtained in groups of 4, 8,12 and 16 quails per cage, respectively. The best feed conversion rates were obtained in groups of 8,12,16 and 4 quails per cage, respectively.
