Türkiye’de balıkçılık istatistiklerinin iyileştirilmesi ve Avrupa Birliği uyum süreci

Türkiye, Avrupa Birliği uyum sürecinde balıkçılık konusunda, yasal, kurumsal ve yapısal farklılıkları giderebilmek için çalışmalar yürütmektedir. Bu çalışmaların başında, balıkçılığa ilişkin istatistik bilgilerin toplanması, derlenmesi ve analiz edilmesi gelmektedir. Bu kapsamda, balıkçı filosu kayıtlarının düzenli bir şekilde elektronik ortamda tutulmaya başlanmıştır. Tarama toplantılarında, Türk balıkçılık istatistiklerinin, Avrupa Birliği balıkçılık istatistikleriyle kısmen de olsa uyumlu olduğu ifade edilmektedir. Ulusal balıkçılık istatistiksel bilginin üretilmesinde eksiklerin giderilmesine ilişkin çalışmalar değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucunda, balıkçılık istatistiklerinin toplanması, analiz edilmesi ve yayınlanmasına ilişkin yapılabilecekler açıklanmıştır.

Improvement Turkish fishery statistics and EU accession process

As a part of the European Union (EU) accession process to correct legal, institutional and structural deficiencies, Turkey’s fisheries has recently been subject to an evaluation. The collection, compilation and analysis of statistical data on fisheries are among the main issues in this process. A Regular recording process of the data regarding the fishing fleet in electronic format has commenced. In the inspection meetings, it has been stated that Turkish fishery statistics were partially compatible with the EU fishery statistics. Studies on fulfilling the production of national fishery statistics information were reviewed. Based on this review, several suggestions have been made to improve the collection, analysis and publication of the fisheries statistics.
