Marmara Denizi fosfor bütçesi. Dikey karışımı kontrol eden güçlü tabakalaşma gözönüne alınarak, Ocak-1986-Kasım 1986 çalışma periyodu süresince elde edilen verilerin yıllık ortalamaları, kullanılarak, boğazlar sisteminin bütçesi oluşturulmuştur. Boğazlar sistemindeki akan su kütlelerinin hacmi 1986 yılı tuzluluk değerleri gözönüne alınarak hesaplanmıştır. Ortalama fosfor değerleri üst (haloklin üstü) ve alt tabaka (haloklin altı) ayrı ayrı gözönüne alınarak yapılmıştır. Karşılaştırma yapmak amacıyla, dört yıllık avaraj tuzluluk değeri kullanılarak hesaplanmış yeni su kütlelerinin hacimleriyle eski bütçe yeniden gözden geçirilmiş ve sonuçda, en sık örneklemenin yapıldığı Karadeniz-Boğaz kesiminde çok büyük değişiklikler gözlenmezken, göreceli olarak 1986 yılına kadar daha seyrek çalışılmış, Çanakkale-Ege kesiminde farklı sonuçlar alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada, her iki fosfor bütçesinde, ana kaynağı Karadeniz yüzey akıntısı (birinci bütçede % 60, ikinci bütçede % 64) olan, yaklaşık 2.0x$10^4$ ton $yıl^{-1}$ toplam fosforun Marmara yüzey suyuna taşındığı hesaplanmıştır.
The phosphorus budget of the Sea of Marmara was calculated by using the annual averages of data collected during January 1986-November 1986. Volume fluxes across the compartments of the Turkish Straits System were calculated by using average salinity data. The average values of phosphate were taken for both epihalocline, i.e., the upper layer, and subhalocline layers, i.e., the lower layer, on the basis of the strong permanent stratification that controls the vertical mixing processes. The budget was revised by using the new water fluxes which were estimated by the average salinity data covering 4 consecutive years (1986-1989), in order to be able to compare the results with those of the most recent study. Comparison of these two budgets shows that there is no any big difference of the amounts of the inputs to the Sea of Marmara via Bosphorus in- and outflux. However, the fluxes through the Dardanelles strait have displayed differences because relatively insufficient frequency of study was done in the Dardanelles-Marmara Junction (DMJ) and Dardanelle-Aegean Junction (DAJ) until 1986.Total exported amount into the Sea of Marmara has been calculated as about 2.0x$10^4$ tons $yr^{-1}$for the first and the second budget. The major source is the Black Sea surface water (60 % for the first, 64 % for the second budget).
