Embriyogenesis sürecinde Loligo vulgaris (Lamarck, 1798)' in huni (Sifon) organı gelişimi

The funnel tube development of Loligo vulgaris (Lamarck, 1798) in its embryogenesis

According to Arnold (1965)’s developmental scheme, development of the funnel tube, which is an identical criterion in embryonic development of cephalopods, was investigated in highly commercial squid Loligo vulgaris (Lamarck, 1798). Total of 12 L. vulgaris egg capsules at morula stage obtained from fishing lines were used in this experiment. The egg capsules were incubated in three 1-liter capacity transparent plastic bakers with aeration (35 ml/min) at 19.4±0.3°C, 37 ppt, and 12-h Light: 12-h Dark photoperiodicity. In embryonic development of L. vulgaris, primordium of funnel tube was firstly observed at stage 19. At stage 23, the funnel tube rudiments began to fuse from anterior to posterior. At stage 24, the funnel tube completely closed, but a circle opening became apparent at anterior of it. At stage 25+, primordia of the funnel valve is visible. At stage 26, the funnel tube is completely under covered of the mantle. At stage 27+, the funnel valve is prominent. At stage 30, newly hatchlings used their funnel tubes efficiently.
