In this study, age, growth and reproduction of Trigla lyra (L.) collected in Aegean Sea during 1991-1993 were studied. The fork length of individuals ranged from 62 to 542 mm. The slopes (b values) of the fork length-weight regressions indicated allometric growth for both sex groups (for females were b= 2.9396 and for males were b= 2.8877). The oldest individual was IX years. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters for sexes combined were L,~ 596.97 mm, k= 0.16 y ', to= -0.8632. According to the gonadosomatic index values, it was determined that reproduction period occurred during autumn and winter months.
