Bazı pelajik ostrakodların İzmir Körfezindeki dağılımları üzerine ilk gözlemler

İzmir Körfezi pelajik ostrakodlarini ve dağılımlarını saptamak amacıyla 2005 Şubat ayında bu çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. 200 pm ağ göz açıklığı olan Unesco WP-2 zooplankton kepçesi kullanılarak 33 istasyonda vertikal örneklemeler yapılmıştır. İncelemeler sonucunda, Porroecia porrecta, Archiconchoecia striata ve Mikroconchoecia curta olmak üzere 3 tür tespit edilmiştir. Bu türler Türkiye suları için yeni kayıttır. Bu türlerin iç ve orta körfezde bulunmadığı belirlenmiştir.

Preliminary investigations on the distribution of some pelagic ostracods of İzmir bay

In order to determine the pelagic ostracods and their distribution of Izmir Bay, this study has been carried out in February 2005. Samples were taken vertically in 33 stations by using WP2 plankton net with a mesh size of 200 urn. The qualitative analysis of the samples indicated the presence of Porroecia porrecta, Archiconchoecia striata ve Mikroconchoecia curta. These species are firstly recorded from Turkish waters. The pelagic ostracods were not found in the inner bay and in the middle bay.
