Laktasyon Döneminde Gebelik ve Emzirme

Kadının yaşam dönemlerinden biridedoğurganlık çağı içinde yer alan laktasyondönemidir. Emzirme, bebeklerin sağlıklıbüyümesi ve gelişmesi için en uygun, eşibulunmaz bir beslenme yöntemidir. Bunun yanısıra anne ile bebeğin sağlığı üzerinde de çoközel biyolojik ve duygusal bir etkiye sahiptir.Çeşitli nedenler sonucunda emzirme sıklığınınazaltılması, emzirmenin erken sonlandırılması ilesonuçlanabilmektedir. Bu nedenlerden biriemzirme döneminde meydana gelengebeliklerdir. Emzirme döneminde meydanagelen gebeliklerin nasıl yönetilmesi gerektiğikonusunda bir görüş birliği yoktur, bazıotoriteler emzirmeyi desteklerken, bazılarıemzirmeyi bırakmayı önermektedir. Laktasyondöneminde gebe kalan annelere yapılandanışmanlık, emzirmenin devamı için önemlidir.Bu derlemede; laktasyon döneminin fertiliteyietkileme durumunu, laktasyon döneminde gebekalınca emzirmenin bırakılmasının ne derecedoğru olduğunu, gebeyken emzirmenin düşükya da erken doğum riskini tetikleyiptetiklemediğini ve çoğul bebek emzirmesininmümkün olup olmadığını değerlendirmek amaçlanmıştır.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding in the Lactation Period

One of the stages in women's life is thelactation period, which is included inreproductive age. Breastfeeding is a unique andmost appropriate form of nutrition for thehealthy growth and development of infants.Furthermore, it has an exceptional biologicaland emotional impact on the health of motherand infant. The reduction in breastfeedingfrequency due to various reasons may result inearly termination of breastfeeding. One ofthese reasons is the pregnancies that occurduring the breastfeeding period. There is noconsensus on how pregnancies that occurduring the breastfeeding period should bemanaged; some authorities supportbreastfeeding while some of them suggestterminating breastfeeding. Consultancyprovided for mothers who get pregnant duringthe lactation period has great importance incontinuation of breastfeeding. In this review, itwas aimed to evaluate how the lactation periodaffects fertility, to what extent it is correct toterminate breastfeeding when a female getspregnant during the lactation period, whetherbreastfeeding during pregnancy triggers therisks of miscarriage or premature birth andwhether multiple breastfeeding is possible.
