Gebelerin Kişilik Özellikleri İle Doğum Sonrası Bebeklerinin Hijyenik Bakımlarına Hazır Oluşlukları Arasındaki İlişki

Amaç: Çalışma gebelerin kişilik özellikleri ile doğum sonrası bebeklerinin hijyenik bakımlarına hazır oluşlukları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntemler: Araştırma verileri, gebelerin demografik ve obstetrik bilgilerine yönelik Soru Formu, On Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği (OMKÖ), Gebelerin Yenidoğanın Hijyenik Bakımına Hazır Oluş Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan 227 gebenin yaş ortalaması 29,11±6,05 yıl, gebelik haftası ortalaması 31,94±5,39 bulunmuştur. Pearson korelasyon analizi sonucunda, gebelerin yenidoğanın hijyenik bakımına hazır oluş ölçeği ile OMKÖ’nin dışa dönüklük alt boyutu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur (p= 0,003; r=0,196). Sonuç: Gebelerin dışa dönüklük kişilik özelliği ile yenidoğanın bakımına hazır oluşlukları arasında pozitif yönde ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sağlık profesyonelleri, gebelerin kişilik özelliği analizinde özel ekipman veya teknikler kullanmadan pratik ve kolayca uygulanabilen ölçeklerden yararlanılabilir.

The Relationship Between The Personality Traits of Pregnant Women and Their Readinessfor Hygienic Care of Their Babies After Birth

Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the personality traits of pregnant women and their readiness for hygienic care of their babies after birth. Methods: Research data were collected using a Questionnaire for demographic and obstetric information of pregnant women, Ten-item Personality Scale (TIPS), and Pregnants' Readiness for Newborn Hygienic Care Scale. Results: The mean age of 227 pregnant women who participated in the study was 29.11±6.05 years, and the mean week of gestation was 31.94±5.39 weeks. As a result of the Pearson correlation analysis, a statistically significant relationship was found between the scale of readiness of pregnant women for hygienic care of the newborn and the extraversion sub-dimension of TIPS (p= 0.003; r=0.196). Conclusions: It has been determined that there is a positive correlation between personality traits of extraversion and readiness to care for the newborn. Health professionals can benefit from practical and easily applicable scales without using special equipment or techniques in the personality trait analysis of pregnant women.
