14 Yaşında Bir Kızda Akut Batın Tablosu İle Açığa Çıkan Dev Gastrik TrikobezoGiant Gastric Trichobezoar Found in a 4 Year Old Girl upon Acute Abdominal Pain

Though well defined in medical publications, trichobezoars are not frequently observed in clinics and thus their diagnosis may be delayed. In diagnosed cases of trichobezoar, various complications may have developed and surgical intervention may have become inevitable. Clinical suspicion, detailed clinic story and radiological investigations are all important in diagnosis. The present study presents the case of a girl suffering malnutrition applying to the emergency unit upon acute abdominal pain who was found to have giant gastric trichobezoar in order to draw attention to this rarely observed but surgically important disease.
