ÖZET Dünyadaki geli?mi? ülkelerin beden e?itimi ve spora yakla?ymlary, e?itimin bütünlü?ü içerisinde fiziksel uygunlu?u yerinde ve sa?lykly bir toplum olu?turmaya yöneliktir. Ülkemizde de spor e?itimine olan ilgi, gün geçtikçe daha fazla artmaktadyr. Spor e?itiminin küçük ya?larda ba?lyyor olmasy, Ylkö?retim okullarynda yürütülen beden e?itimi derslerinin amaca uygun yapylmasynyn önemini ortaya koymaktadyr. Bu ara?tyrma, Ylkö?retim okulu birinci kademede beden e?itimi derslerini yürüten synyf ö?retmenlerinin beden e?itimi, spor, oyun v.b etkinliklerin, amacyna uygun gerçekle?tirebilme yeterlikleri ve derse olan tutum davrany?laryny belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadyr. Bunun için anket yöntemi ve betimsel alan taramasy (survey) yapylmy?tyr. Çaly?ma evrenini ilkö?retim I. Kademe synyf ö?retmenleri olu?tururken, örneklemi 468 synyf ö?retmeni olu?turmaktadyr. Verileri çözümlemede SPSS paket program kullanylmy?tyr. Ara?tyrmada synyf ö?retmenlerinin genel bir görü?ü olarak, beden e?itimi dersinin birinci kademedeki ö?renciler açysyndan, hem fiziksel hem de ruhsal yönden çok önemli bir yer tuttu?unu kabul ettikleri, spor tesisi yetersizli?inin ise dersin i?leni? ve amacyna ula?mada sorun te?kil etmesinin yany syra, dersin beden e?itimi ö?retmenleri tarafyndan yürütülmesinin daha verimli olaca?y sonucuna ula?ylmy?tyr.

CLASSROOM TEACHERS' ATTITUDES – BEHAVIORS AND COMPETENCES RELATING TO THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION LESSON

ABSTRACT Approaches of developed countries in the world towards physical education and sports are for constituting a healthy society with a physical fitness within the integrity of the education. Interest in sports education increases in our country day by day. The fact that sports education begins in the earlier ages reveals the importance of conducting physical education lessons in primary schools up to the marks. This research aims at determining competences of classroom teachers conducting physical education lessons in primary school 1st grade to realize physical education, sports, plays etc. up to the marks and their attitudes – behaviors relating to the lesson. Accordingly, questionnaire method and descriptive field survey were applied. While the universe of the study comprises of primary education 1st grade classroom teachers, the sample of the research comprises of 468 classroom teachers. SPSS package was used in analysis of data. Taking a general opinion of the classroom teachers in the research, it was concluded that they acknowledge that physical education lesson has a very important place both physically and mentally for 1st grade students; deficiency of sports facilities poses a problem in terms of conducting the lesson and achieving its target; and it would be better if the lesson was conducted by physical education teachers.
