The more the number of the studies increases in an area, the methods, used in the process of designing the study, differentiates. Meta-analysis brings a different view to the literature review. Meta-analysis makes it possible to synthesize the results of a group of studies on a certain topic in a combinable, systematic, and objective way. This article purposes toprovide general information on meta-analysis without going into the detailed understanding regarding the methodological obstacles of the method. The important aspects that affect the quality of a meta-analysis study are also discussed.
