Tümoral pankreas dokularında epidermal growth faktör resöptörlarinin (EGF-R) dağılımının immunohistokimyasal olarak belirlenmesi

Epidermal büyüme faktörü (Epidermal Growth Factor) poljpeptit yapışmada olup hücre yüzeyinde bulunur. EGE, EGF reseptörlerine bağlanarak hücresel olayları düzenler. Bu çalışmada insan tümoral pankreas dokularında EGF reseptörlerinin dağılımı İmmunohistokimyasal yöntemlerle ışık mikroskobu düzeyinde incelendi. Tümoral pankreas dokuları, ampulla Vateri' de gelişip pankreasa invazyon gösteren adenokarsinomlar olmak üzere 2 farklı tipte incelendi. Primer adenokarsinomlu pankreas dokularında asiner hücrelerde, kanal boyanma zayıftı. Ampulla Vateri' de gelişip pankreasa invazyon gösteren adenokarsinomlarda asiner hücreler, kanal hücreleri ve Langerhans adacığı pozitif boyanma gösterdi. Mitotik aktivitenin artmasına bağlı olarak EGF reseptörleri tümoral dokularda belirgin olarak saptandı.

Immunohistochemical localization of the epidermal growth factor receptor in cancer tissues of pancreas

Epidermal growth factor is a mitogenic poly-peptide that binds to the EGF receptors and regulates a variety of a cellular processes. We examined the distribution of epidermal growth factor receptors in adult pancreas, newborn pancreas and in human pancreatic tumors. Two types of pancreatic tumors were included in this study: Primary adenocarsinoma of pancreas and a metastatic adenocarsinoma of pancreas, derived from Ampulla vateri. EGF R immunostaining of acini and pancreatic ducts were stronger and well recognized when compared to weaker immunostaining of islets. In invasive adenocarsinomas of pancreas derived from ampulla Vateri, EGF receptors showed strong immunostaining patterns in acini pancreatic ducts and Langerhans cells Epidermal growth factor receptors predominantly observed in tumoral tissues. Because of the increased mitogenic activity in tumoral tissues EGF receptor densities are increased, thus making stronger immunostaining.
