Bu çalışma; Adli Tıp Kurumu Bursa Grup Başkanlığında Ocak 1995 ile Haziran 1999 tarihleri arasında otopsileri yapılan ve femoral arter yaralanması tespit edilen 20 adli otopsi olgusu üzerinde yapılmıştır. Olguların tamamı erkek ve yaş ortalaması 31.6 dır. Olguların çoğunda sol femoral arterin kesici-delici aletle, diğerlerinde ise ateşli silahla yaralandığı görülmüştür. Olguların 15'i olay yerinde veya hastaneye götürülürken ölmüştür. Olguların 14'ünde ilave bir yaralanma olmadığından ölüm nedeni hipovolemik şok olarak belirlenmiştir.

In this study, the records of the autopsies which performed by the Council of Forensic Medicine, Bursa between January 1995 and June 1999 were examined retrospectively and 20 cases with femoral artery injuries were investigated in different aspects. All cases were men with a median age of 31.6. The cause of the femoral artery injury was stabbing in the most cases, gunshot in the others. In 15 cases death occurred at the scene or during transport. In 14 cases the cause of the death was hypovolemic shock because there was no additional injury.
