MONTE KRİSTO KONTU'NUN DOĞUŞU VE SİNEMAYA UYARLANMASI

Alexandre Dumas Père 19. yüzyıl Fransız edebiyatının en çok yazan ve okunan yazarlarından biridir. Önceleri tiyatro eserleri yazan Dumas daha sonra romana yönelir. Üç yüzden fazla eseriyle “Roman Fabrikası” olarak da adlandırılan Dumas Père’in eserleri, edebiyat dünyasının yanı sıra sinema dünyasında da büyük bir üne sahiptir. Sinema sektöründe, Dumas Père' in eserlerinden ilham alınmış filmler sayısı üç yüzden fazladır. Bu filmler arasında genellikle Monte-Cristo Kontu ve Üç Silahşörler ilk sırayı alır. Monte-Cristo 1907’de ilk olarak beyaz perdeye Amerikalı yapımcı Francis Boggs tarafından aktarıldı. Uzun yıllar sinema dünyasını besleyen Monte-Cristo, Kevin Reynolds'un bir filmi olarak Monte-Cristo'un İntikamı adıyla, 17 Nisan 2002'de Fransa'da piyasaya sürüldü. Ülkemizde ise Monte-Cristo Kontu, 1965 yılında Güneşe Giden Yol, adıyla beyaz perdeye aktarıldı. Bu makalede Monte-Cristo ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar değerlendirerek elde edilen bilgiler ışığında ortaya çıkan verilerin çözümlemesiyle söz konusu romanın Türk sinemasına sağladığı katkılar ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

THE BIRTH OF THE COUNT OF MONTE-CRISTO AND ITS ADAPTATION TO THE CINEMA

Alexandre Dumas Père is one of the most authored and read writers of 19th century French literature. Dumas previously hadwritten theater plays, but later he turned to the novel. With more than three hundred works, Dumas has been named as “TheFactory of Novel”. The works of Dumas Père have a great reputation in the literature world as well as in the world of cinema.In the film industry, there are more than three hundred films inspired by Dumas Père's works. Among these films, the Countof Monte-Cristo and the Three Musketeers generally take the first place. In 1908, Monte-Cristo was first cast by Americanproducer Francis Boggs. For decades, Monte-Cristo was launched in France on April 17, 2002, as “the Revenge of MonteCristo”, a film by Kevin Reynolds. In our country, the Count of Monte-Cristo, was adapted to the white screen in 1965 by thename of “the Road to the Sun”. In this study, the analysis of the data obtained in the light of the findings of Monte-Cristo andthe contribution of the novel to Turkish cinema has been tried to be revealed.
