İnverted Papillom Hastalarının Retrospektif Analizi

Amaç: Bu çalışma ile inverted papillom tanısı almış olan hastalarımıza uygulanan cerrahi tedaviler ve takip sonuçlarının paylaşılması amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem ve gereçler: 2005-2013 yılları arasında kliniğimizde inverted papillom tanısı ile tedavi edilmiş 20 hasta retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Hastalar yaş, cinsiyet, semptomlar, tanı, tümörün evresi, cerrahi yaklaşım ve postoperatif rekürrens yönünden değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Hastalar 43-73 yaşları arasında ortalama 56,5±8,68 yaşında idi. En sık burun tıkanıklığı şikayeti tespit edildi. 19 (%85) hastaya endoskopik cerrahi uygulandı.Bir (%5) hastaya endoskopik + eksternal yaklaşım uygulandı. iki hastada (%10) malignite raporlandı. Hiçbir hastada majör komplikasyon gelişmedi. İki hastada (%10) lokal rekürrens izlendi.Sonuç: İnverted papillom da endoskopik yaklaşım yeterli ve başarılı bir tedavi yöntemidir.

Retrospective Analysis of Patients with Inverted Papilloma

Aim:The aim of the study is evaluation of the treatment of patients diagnosed as inverted papilloma.Material and Methods: Twenty patients who underwent surgical treatment between the years 2005 and 2013 were analyzed retrospectively. Demographic characteristics of patients and stage of tumor, recurrences and surgical approach were recorded.Results: The mean age of patients was 56,5±8.68 (range43 to 73). The main complaint of the patients was nasal stuffiness. 19 (85%) of patients were underwent endoscopic tumor resection and 1(15%) patient was operated by combination of endoscopic transnasal and external approach. According to the histopathological results, 2 malign materials (squamous cell carcinoma) were excised and, sinonasal inverted papilloma was the most frequent benign pathology. Major complications were not observed in any patient depending on the operation .Local recurrences was observed in 2 patients.Conclusion: Endoscopic transnasal approach is an adequate and successful method with sinonasal inverted papilloma.
