Bu çalışma, sosyal devletin üzerine inşa edildiği ekonomi-politik temel ile sosyal devleti aşındıran yeni ekonomi-politik bağlamı tahlil ederek sosyal devletin geçici (dönemsel) doğasını göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, sosyo-ekonomik yapının çeşitli unsurlarını sosyal devletle ilişkileri bakımından irdelemektedir.

This study aims to demonstrate the temporary nature of the welfare (social) state by analyzing the political economy on which the welfare state was built and the new political economy which has been undermining the welfare state. The study examines various components of socio-economic structure in terms of their relationship with the welfare state.
