Örgütsel nedenlerle yaşanan olumsuz şokların iş performansına etkisi: Örgüt temelli özsaygının biçimlendirici değişken rolü

Bu çalışmanın amacı, örgütsel nedenlerle yaşanan olumsuz şokların iş performansı üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada iş performansı, görev performansı açısından ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada ayrıca örgütsel nedenlerle yaşanan olumsuz şokların görev performansı üzerindeki etkisinde, örgüt temelli özsaygının biçimlendirici değişken rolü oynayıp oynamadığı da test edilmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri, İstanbul’da bulunan ve özel sektörde faaliyet gösteren şirketlerde çalışan 184 beyaz yakalı işgörenden toplanmıştır. Yapılan hiyerarşik regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre örgütsel nedenlerle yaşanan olumsuz şokların, görev performansını negatif yönde etkilediği saptanmıştır. Örgüt temelli özsaygının ise görev performansını pozitif yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca yüksek düzeydeki örgüt temelli özsaygının, örgütsel nedenlerle yaşanan olumsuz şokların görev performansı üzerindeki negatif yöndeki etkisini azaltarak biçimlendirici değişken rolü oynadığı görülmüştür.

The impact of organizational negative shocks on job performance: The moderator role of organization-based self-esteem

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between organizational negative shocks and job performance. This study specifically focuses on task performance. It is also aimed to investigate the moderator role of organization-based self-esteem on the relationship between organizational negative shocks and task performance. The data of the study was collected from 184 white collar employees who are working for private sector organizations located in Istanbul. According to the results of hierarchical regression analysis, it is found that organizational negative shocks are negatively related to task performance. It is also found that organization- based self-esteem is positively related to task performance. It is revealed that organization-based self-esteem moderates the negative impact of organizational negative shocks on task performance. This negative impact is lessened when organization-based self-esteem is high.
