KENDĠNE YÖNELĠK BĠLGELĠK ALGISI ÖLÇEĞĠ’NĠN TÜRKÇE’YE UYARLANMASI: GEÇERLĠK VE GÜVENĠRLĠK ÇALIġMASI

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kendine Yönelik Bilgelik Algısı Ölçeği’nin Türkçe’ye uyarlanma çalışmasının yapılmasıdır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi ve Ankara Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören lisans ve lisansüstü öğrencileri ile öğrenci statüsünde olmayan 682 yetişkin oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların yaşları 18 ile 69 (Ort. = 23.60, ss= 6.85) arasındadır. Araştırma kapsamında öncelikle ölçeğin dil geçerliği ile ilgili çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Çeviri ve dil geçerliği çalışmalarının ardından yapı geçerliği ve güvenirlik analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışmalar neticesinde Kendine Yönelik Bilgelik Algısı Ölçeği’nin beş faktörlü yapısının doğrulandığı görülmüştür. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini belirlemeye yönelik analizlerde, ölçeğin tamamına dair iç tutarlılık katsayısının .896, iki-yarı güvenirliğinin .870, test-tekrar test güvenirliğinin .906 olduğu, ayrıca %27’lik alt-üst gruplar arasında anlamlı fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Kendine Yönelik Bilgelik Algısı Ölçeği’nin Türkçe’de bireylerin kendilerine yönelik bilgelik algılarını ölçmede kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu ifade edilebilir

SELF-ASSESSED WISDOM SCALE ADAPTATION TO TURKISH: VALIDITY ANDRELIABILITY STUDY

The purpose of this study is to adapt the Self-Assessed Wisdom Scale (SAWS) to Turkish and make the validity and reliability studies of the scale. The study group of the research consists of 682 individuals both receiving education (undergraduates and graduates) and not. The participants are people who are studying in Afyon Kocatepe University and Ankara University in the academic year 2018-2019. The ages of the participants ranged from 18 to 69 (M= 23.60; SD= 6.85). Primarily the studies of translation and language validity are completed. After establishing language, the validity and relability of the scale is examined. Based on the findings, five-factor structure of Self-Assessed Wisdom Scale is validated. The coefficient of the total internal consistency is found .896, split-half reliability coefficient .870 and test-retest coefficient is found .906. Additionally, it is found that there is significant difference between the upper 27 % and the lower 27% scores of the scale. As a result, it can be said that the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool for individuals who are speaking Turkish to self-assess their wisdom.
