Ayçiçeği saplarının konik helezon tip briket makinesinde briketlenmesi

Türkiye’de tarımsal artıklar önemli bir biyokütle enerji kaynağıdır. Bu çalışmada, tarımsal artıklardan biri olan ayçiçeği sapları, kalıp ısıtmalı ve konik kalıplı, 15 kW gücünde konik helezon tip briketleme makinesinde briketlenmiştir. Denemede kullanılan materyalin nem içeriği % 10, geometrik ortalama çapı 0.705 mm’dir. Çalışmada, briketlerin kalitesi ile ilgili briket fiziksel özellikleri (yoğunluk, kırılma direnci, dayanıklılık direnci, basınç direnci ve su alma direnci) ile briketleme makinesinin kapasitesi ve enerji tüketim değerleri belirlenmiştir. Test öncesi bütün briketler 7 gün boyunca 23.5°C ve % 65 bağıl neme sahip kapalı çevre şartlarında bekletilmiştir. Çalışma sonunda ortalama 56 mm çapında ve 25 mm merkez delikli dış yüzeyi kısmen karbonize olmuş silindirik briketler elde edilmiştir. Briketlerin yoğunluğu, kırılma direnci, dayanıklılık direnci, basınç direnci ve su alma direnci sırası ile ortalama 1195 kg m-3, % 99.4, % 97.7, 2780 N ve % 80.5 olarak bulunmuştur. Briketleme makinesinin kapasitesi ve elektrik enerjisi tüketimi ise sırası ile ortalama 94 kg h-1 ve 7.97 kWh olmuştur.

Briquetting of sunflower stalks in conical screw type briquette machine

Agricultural residues are important sources of biomass energy in Turkey. In this study, sunflower stalks, one of the significant agricultural residues in some parts of Turkey, were briquetted in a conical screw type briquetting machine with die-heater and tapered die, with an electrical motor power of 15 kW. Moisture content and geometric main diameter of milled sunflower stalks used in the experiment were 10% and 0.705 mm, respectively. In the study, briquette physical properties such as density, shatter resistance, tumbler resistance, compressive resistance and water resistance on the quality of briquettes, and briquette production capacity and energy consumption of briquetting machine were determined. Before testing, the briquettes were kept in a room at 23.5ºC temperature and 65% relative humidity during 7 days. At the end of the study, cylindrical briquettes were obtained at an external diameter of 56 mm with a central hole of 25 mm, and all surfaces of briquettes were partially carbonized due to die heating during briquetting process. The average density, shatter resistance, tumbler resistance, compressive resistance, water resistance and humidity resistance of sunflower stalk briquettes were found to be 1195 kg m-3, 99.4%, 97.7%, 2780 N and 80.5%, respectively. The average briquette production capacity and electrical energy consumption of briquetting machine were found to be 94 kg h-1 and 7.97 kWh, respectively.
