DESCARTES’IN DOĞA FELSEFESİNİN MADDE KAVRAYIŞI

Bu çalışmanın amacı Descartes’ın modern felsefenin başlangıcı olarak nitelendirilen düşüncelerinden hareketle, onun doğa kavrayışının ne kadar yenilikçi olduğunu araştırmaktır. Çalışmanın merkezine aldığı problem ise onun madde, uzam ve hareket üzerine söyledikleridir. Araştırmanın sonucunda Descartes’ın Skolastik düşünceden hangi yönleriyle bir kopuş gerçekleştirdiği ve doğa felsefesinin hangi taraflarıyla modern düşüncenin nüvesini oluşturduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır.

THE MATTER CONCEPT OF DESCARTES’ NATURAL PHILOSOPHY

The aim of this study is to investigate the ideas of Descartes, which is defined as the beginning of modern philosophy, how innovative it is for nature concept. The problem at the center of the study is what Descartes said about matter, extension and motion. As a result of the research, it will be tried to determine which aspects of Descartes make a break from the Scholastic thought and which sides of his natural philosophy that constitute the essence of modern thought.
