Meme Kanserinin Diyet ve Yaşam Tarzı İle İlişkisi Nedir?
Meme kanseri hem gelişmiş hem de gelişmekte olan ülkelerde kadınlar arasında görülenen yaygın kanserdir ve dünya çapında sıklığı artmaktadır. Dünya Kanser AraştırmaFonu [World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF)] ve Amerikan Kanser Derneği’nin kanserönleme klavuzları; sağlıklı bir kilo, haftada 150 dakika egzersiz, alkol tüketimininkısıtlanması, bitkisel beslenme önerilerinde bulunmaktadır. Gözlemsel datalar, fizikselaktivitenin artırılması ve alkol tüketiminin kısıtlanmasıyla pre ve postmenapozal memekanseri gelişim riskinin azaldığını göstermiştir. Yeni ortaya çıkan datalar adelosan dönemdesigara tüketiminin daha sonra meme kanseri gelişimine neden olabileceğini göstermiştir.Yaşam tarzı değişikliği, BRCA mutasyonu olan bireylerde etkisi tam olarak bilinememekleberaber , aile öyküsü olan yüksek riskli bireylerde ve genel toplumda modifiyeedilebilen bir risk faktörüdür. Yakın zamandaki uzman raporlarında başarılı bir şekildeyapılabilen yaşam tarzı değişikliğinin erken erişkin ve adelosan dönemdeki taramayapılan normal popülasyondaki kadınlar ve yüksek riskli kadınlarda meme kanserigelişimini %25-30 oranında azaltığı gösterilmiştir.
