YAPAY ADALAR ve ULUSLARARASI DENİZ HUKUKU

Bir zamanlar ütopik bir masal olarak görülen yapay adalar, 20. yüzyılın en önemli gelişim mucizelerinden biri hâline gelmişlerdir. Yapay adalar, yerleşim, araştırma, iletişim vs. dâhil olmak üzere çok çeşitli işlevler üstlenmektedirler. 21. yüzyılın şafağında yapay adalar veya tesislerce oynanan roller modern yaşamın ihtiyaçları sebebiyle artmıştır. Karakterlerinin bir özelliği olan denizlerin zorluğunu kıran teknoloji, yapay adaların gelişimlerini sağ- lamakta ve hiç şüphesiz sağlamaya da devam edecektir. Böylelikle, bu kısa çalışmada amaç y

Artificial islands, as was once seen as an utopian gibberish, have become one of the most important innovative miracle of the twentieth century. They provide variety of functions, including habitation, research, communication etc. As the dawn of the 21st century passed, the roles that have been played by artificial islands, or structures, as it would appear, are enhanced by the requirements of the modern life. Technology, which has overcome the impossibilities of the seas, because of their very nature, still provides and will, no doubtedly, continue to provide their evolution. Thus, in this short essay, the aim is to define artificial islands in wider sense, and examine their legal regime
